Since 1988, Intrado has been committed to supporting its employees through life's toughest moments. At the heart of this commitment is the CAP Program - Caring About People, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves as an employee crisis fund. Every dollar raised through CAP goes directly back to our employees when they need it most.
CAP exists to provide financial assistance to employees facing unexpected hardships. Whether it's a medical emergency, a house fire, a natural disaster, or the loss of a loved one, CAP is there to help. Employees can request a grant - or even have a manager or co-worker apply on their behalf - to cover urgent expenses like funeral costs, travel for family emergencies, or rebuilding after a catastrophe.
As Lonna Cain, a member of the CAP board explains:
"We’ve seen all kinds of crises over the years. Employees can request a grant, and as long as they’re in good standing, we provide financial support. It may be a small gesture, but it can make a big difference when someone truly needs it."
CAP is fueled by generosity and community spirit. There are three primary ways we raise funds:
Annual Golf Tournament in Longmont, supported by corporate sponsors.
Holiday Basket Auction, where Intrado teams create themed baskets for bidding - always a fun and successful event!
Payroll Deductions, where employees can choose to donate a small amount from each paycheck.

Our recent holiday basket auction raised almost $12,000 and featured 117 baskets!
Over the years, CAP has stepped in during devastating floods, wildfires, and personal tragedies. One story in particular stands as a good example of the program. Pictured below, an employee's home was destroyed in a typhoon. Through CAP funding, her family is able to rebuild and feel supported by the Intrado family.

CAP isn't just about financial help - it's about community, compassion, and caring for one another. In an industry built on connection, CAP reflects the values that make Intrado strong.
