ANI/ALI Inquiry

Definition:

A form used by PSAPs to report ALI display discrepancies and/or 9‐1‐1 call misroutes to the PSAP. The PSAP then forwards an inquiry to the Intrado DIU.

Inter-Tandem Transfer

The capability of transferring a call over the 9‐1‐1 network from a PSAP served by one 9‐1‐1 tandem to a PSAP served by a different 9‐1‐1 tandem.

Alternate PSAP

An Alternate PSAP is designated to receive 9‐1‐1 calls if the call cannot be delivered to the primary PSAP.
