APCO 2025: Wrapping Up an Incredible Week in Baltimore

APCO 2025 wrapped up two weeks ago, and the Intrado team is still feeling the excitement from an unforgettable few days in Baltimore. This year’s event gave us the opportunity to meet face-to-face with public safety professionals from across the country, share our latest innovations, and see firsthand how our solutions are shaping the future of emergency communications.

A High-Energy Booth Experience

Our booth was busy from the moment the doors opened. Over the course of the conference, we logged 1,238 raw scans, each one representing a valuable conversation with PSAPs, industry partners, or potential customers. Visitors came ready to learn about how Intrado is helping first responders respond faster, communicate more effectively, and save lives.

Spotlight on Innovation

The biggest draw was our AI-powered Voice-to-Text translation and transcription technology, which delivers real-time translation in over 40 languages, fully integrated into PSAP workflows. Attendees saw firsthand how this tool can reduce delays, break down language barriers, and provide accurate, actionable information when seconds count.

There was also strong interest in our VNG capabilities, which open new channels for video-based communications in emergency scenarios. Many PSAPs left with new ideas for integrating this tech into their own operations.

The Tactical Truck Tour

One of the standout moments from APCO was our visit to the Tactical Homeland Operations Response (THOR) truck exhibit. Guided by Intrado’s Paul McLaren, we got a behind-the-scenes tour of this impressive mobile command center. From the cutting-edge communications gear to the operational layout designed for rapid deployment, it was an eye-opening look at how mobile resources can be leveraged in large-scale or high-risk incidents. We also filmed an interview with Paul during the tour, giving attendees and our audience a closer look at how Intrado technology fits into real-world tactical operations.

Teamwork That Delivered

A huge thank you to Alex, and Jason for representing Intrado so well in the booth. Leadership, including Randy, Christian, and Patrick, shared how pleased they were with the turnout, the quality of interactions, and the buzz we created. Or, as one of our colleagues summed it up perfectly: “We return with our shields, not on them!”

Building on the Momentum

APCO wasn’t just a conference, it was a launchpad for the months ahead. The relationships we formed and the interest we sparked will fuel important follow-up conversations, new partnerships, and continued innovation.

A Final Thank You

To everyone who stopped by, toured the booth, tested our technology, or joined us for the truck tour, thank you. Your engagement and feedback inspire us to keep pushing the limits of what’s possible in public safety communication.

We’re already looking forward to what’s next and can’t wait to see many of you again at future events.
